Charles Alcock is managing editor of the AIN Media Group, having rejoined the company in 2019. He has been an aviation journalist since 1986, and previously worked for AIN from 1990 to 2017, most recently as editor-in-chief. His main focus is on covering new aviation technology and business models, as well as international news.
Having been raised in the London area, Alcock studied at the University of Manchester in the UK and earned an honors degree in Politics and Modern History. He speaks English and French, and some German.

Hawker Pacific, a leading general aviation sales and support company throughout Asia, is to be sold by Sweden’s Saab group to Lynton International Holdings of the UK. The deal has been agreed in principle for an undisclosed amount and should be completed over the next few months.
Hawker Pacific is the main representative and dealership for Raytheon’s Beechcraft product line in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the South Pacific, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. It also represents both Bell Helicopter Textron and the Bell/Agusta Aerospace joint venture in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. Additionally, it operates factory-approved service centers for the Dassault Falcon business jets in Singapore and Sydney, Australia, as well as being the preferred third-party maintenance provider in the Asia/Pacific region for BAE Systems’ family of regional jetliners. It also has offices in Dubai.
Lynton International Holdings is a new London-based venture established by Christopher Tennant, who last year sold his Lynton Group to BBA Aviation. Tennant is set to become chairman of Hawker Pacific, and Andrew d’Apice will continue as its managing director.
