GECI International is offering its Skylander SK-100 light utility aircraft for sale and intends to fully launch the program in April. The program has been in the works since 2001, and the France-based company hopes to deliver the first aircraft from its factory in Evora, Portugal, in 2011. Turkish freight carrier ACT Airlines Group has signed a letter of intent for 15 Skylanders to be delivered between 2011 and 2021, and the company’s Aviation Management Solutions division has signed a partnership agreement to distribute the SK-100 in Turkey, Macedonia, Hungary, Bulgaria and several Middle Eastern countries. The turboprop twin will be certified to FAR Part 23 rules. The aircraft’s first flight is tentatively scheduled for the end of next year.
