Singapore President Madam Halimah Yacob officially launched the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s 50th Anniversary (RSAF50) campaign with the unveiling of a specially painted Boeing F-15SG commemorating the jubilee at the Singapore Airshow.

The sky-blue scheme is inspired by the skies above Singapore, accented by "RSAF50" on the top of the F-15SG and on both vertical stabilizers. The past and present RSAF roundels are also painted on the inner side of the tail surfaces.

The RSAF50 logo is made up of the Singapore skyline while "the 50 is made up of an infinity symbol which [signifies] that there are no limits to how far the RSAF can go with the continued support of fellow Singaporeans," Yacob added.

Two F-15SGs were painted in this livery, and one will be part of the integrated aerial display, along with a pair of F-16Cs.

In her speech, President Yacob acknowledged the professionalism and commitment of past and present RSAF airmen and women. “I am confident that the RSAF will continue to keep our skies free and secure for the next 50 years and more,” she said.

Chief of Air Force Maj. Gen. Mervyn Tan also thanked foreign delegates for hosting and supporting the RSAF in their numerous training missions around the world.
