Raytheon Gets the Nod for P-8I Radar
Boeing has awarded a development contract to Raytheon for an international version of the APY-10 surveillance radar fitted to the P-8 Poseidon maritime patroller. The international version of the radar will be for export customers, the first of which is the Indian navy, which signed up for eight P-8Is in January 2009. The aircraft are tailored to Indian requirements, and differ in detail from their U.S. counterparts.
