EBACE Show Will Not Feature Aircraft on Static Display
EBAA says all exhibits will be indoors and with an improved conference schedule

The European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) to be held May 20 to 22 in Geneva will not include a static display of aircraft for the first time in its 24-year history. Show organizer European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) announced the decision today, saying it is part of a wider strategy for “redefining” the annual event.

The initial booking period for exhibitors closed on January 17 and EBAA is expected to release the list of participating companies in the near future. It is not yet clear whether these companies will include any of the major business aircraft manufacturers that have previously packed the static display with their latest models.

The large static display at Geneva International Airport has always been a defining feature of EBACE, mainly because it allowed direct access for show visitors from the adjoining PalExpo convention center and views of the surrounding Jura mountains. Unlike NBAA’s annual BACE show held in Las Vegas and other U.S. cities, EBACE visitors have not had to lose time making a journey to view aircraft on a remote static display at an airport away from the convention center.

However, in 2023 the static display in Geneva was disrupted by environmental protestors who broke through security control and caused damaged to at least one aircraft on display. For now, exhibiting companies will not be able to show aircraft inside the convention center, although the show floor will once again feature an innovation zone for start-up companies.

New Look, Improved Conference

EBAA has promised a new look and fresh priorities for the 2025 EBACE show. This will now include the industry’s association’s well-established Air Ops conference, with dedicated sessions and educational workshops focused on ground handlers, airports, FBOs, trip planners and aircraft operators.

“We have listened carefully to feedback from our community and those calling for change,” said EBAA secretary general Holger Krahmer. “We often hear attendees praise the unparalleled networking opportunities and quality conference content on offer at EBACE, with real business happening on the show floor. As part of our commitment to amplifying our value proposition for visitors, we’ve made the strategic decision to continue with the exhibition but not to have a static display at EBACE25.”

EBACE show
All events and exhibits for the EBACE trade show will now be held inside the Palexpo convention center in Geneva.

Since August 2025, when EBAA took sole control of EBACE after ending its partnership with NBAA, the association has been intently focused on addressing industry about the value proposition for exhibitors at trade shows. These have included concerns over the high cost of visiting Geneva and the expense of staging exhibits. EBAA has said that 2025 will be a transitional year for the show.

“As well as a completely different floorplan, we’re investing to realign EBACE with our core vision, providing a strengthened conference program that spotlights the latest market intelligence and developments in business aviation in Europe,” Krahmer commented. “In addition, we’re designing an opening event that will bring energy to the start of EBACE25 and offering a targeted meetup program for attendees to connect with like-minded individuals in specialized areas of interest.”
