A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

The Million Air FBO at Albany International Airport (KALB) in New York is the latest location to join the Avfuel branded dealer network.
A gateway to New York’s capital city as well as the western New England region, Million Air is the lone FBO on the field. The facility features a 24,000-sq-ft, two-story terminal with passenger and pilot lounges, a golf simulator, Mercedes-Benz crew cars, 54,000 sq ft of hangar space that can shelter up to a Gulfstream G550, and ramp space capable of accommodating any size aircraft.
“Avfuel’s reputation for reliability and exceptional customer care aligns perfectly with our mission and vision for the future, providing the Albany community and its visitors with top-tier fuel and service, and an enhanced travel experience,” said Brian King, the FBO’s general manager.
As part of the Avfuel network of nearly 700 branded FBOs, Million Air Albany will now participate in the Avtrip customer loyalty program and offer Avfuel contract fuel.
“This partnership offers a fantastic opportunity for both Avfuel and Million Air Albany to improve services for the aviation community in central New York,” explained Joel Hirst, Michigan-based fuel provider’s senior v-p of sales. “By joining forces, we are delivering premium services to our customers while strengthening our network within the aviation sector.”
