The Milestone Aviation Group has signed a sale and leaseback agreement to provide a super-medium Airbus H175 to PHI Aviation. PHI is placing the H175 in Australia, where it will fly offshore energy missions.
“The Airbus H175 is a versatile and high-performing helicopter that perfectly aligns with PHI’s commitment to safety, reliability, and excellence,” said PHI CEO Scott McCarty. “The addition of the H175 enhances our capabilities in supporting offshore energy operations in Australia, providing our customers with increased efficiencies and operational flexibility. PHI remains committed to investing in the latest technology, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Milestone to deliver this advanced aircraft to our growing fleet.”
Last year, PHI signed commitments with Airbus Helicopters for 20 H175s and eight H160s, and the company now operates more than 100 helicopters.
Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67E turboshaft engines, the H175 has a maximum takeoff weight of 17,196 pounds and can carry up to 18 passengers, or 16 passengers and two pilots in offshore configuration. Cruise speed is 144 ktas and maximum range is 590 nm.
