Woman Accused of Pocketing $80,000 in Honor Flight Donations
Joni Nogay faces felony theft charges for appropriating donations intended to finance veteran honor flights to Washington, D.C.
The Honor Flight program is a non-profit enterprise that serves to bring U.S. military veterans to Washington, D.C., to thank them for their service. Organized by regional chapters, the veterans are flown to Washington and toured around the city to the World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War memorials, and then to Arlington National Cemetery to view the changing of the guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
