SmartSky Networks this week unveiled its partnership with Oklahoma-based Liberty Partners, which is the company behind the recent supplemental type certificate (STC) for the air-to-ground (ATG) connectivity provider’s airborne hardware on the Cessna Citation X.

To date, Liberty Partners has developed four STC applications for SmartSky, including providing engineering services and installation kits. Specifically, Liberty Partners generates all certification data, fabrication of parts and assemblies, the performance of required tests and inspections, and delivery of a certified kit.

“The Liberty Partners team has been with us every step of the way,” said SmartSky v-p of customer operations Darren Emery. “They have been a pivotal part of our team by helping to support our product FAA certifications, and engineering and certification solutions for installation of the SmartSky system across a range of airframes for our next-generation ATG solution. With their engineering and manufacturing resources and expertise, they are a tremendous asset to our MRO partners and customers as well.”
