In preparation for the opening of its new 207,000-sq-ft hangar complex at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE), Florida-based Sheltair is providing NBAA-BACE 2019 showgoers a virtual reality tour of the facility at the airport’s booth (C11843). Missing only “the smell of jet fuel and Florida ocean breezes,” the tour will show it all, from the guest receiving area, to the state-of-the-art hangars, to the office space that can support tenant operations. It will include eight 22,500-sq-ft hangars, large enough to accommodate the latest large-cabin business jets.
“This virtual walkthrough allows us to offer convention visitors one of the best takeaways you can offer: precious time,” said Todd Anderson, the company’s v-p of real estate and development, adding it gives potential tenants an “on-site” experience without having to be onsite. “Sheltair offers the largest mix of hangars and airside commercial office space at FXE, one of the busiest general aviation destinations in the nation.”
Sheltair (Avfuel Booth N4123) has also begun taking arrival slot, hangar, and ramp-space reservations at its Fort Lauderdale International Airport location for the Super Bowl LIV, which will be held on February 2.
“When the convention winds down in Vegas on October 24th, the 100-day countdown to Super Bowl kickoff in Miami begins," said Karen Kroeppel, the FBO operator’s director of sales and marketing, "but the real winners in the aviation community will be those who secured their arrival slots during their visit to our booth here at NBAA.”
