Speculation about the unveiling of two new Gulfstream jets dominates Hagerty Jet Groupâs commentary in its just-released quarterly market update for Gulfstream aircraft. The preowned aircraft brokerage thinks the two models will be announced at NBAA-BACE later this month in Las Vegas.
One clue leading to its speculation is that the Savannah, Georgia-based airframer recently updated its website and marketing materials, along with the fact that it is no longer advertising the G650âonly the G650ER.
Specifically, the Hagerty update said it believes the G650ER will be replaced with a model to be possibly called the G800 with a nearly 8,000-nm range. âA second larger model with four-zone cabin plus a dedicated crew rest area could be named the G700, which would be consistent with their branding and an estimated 7,000-nm range,â Hagerty explained.
It also expects the new models to have the Symmetry Cockpit found in the G500 and G600 that âis receiving amazing feedback from operators,â as well as Rolls-Royce powerplants and a G650ER wing that âhas never been used to its fullest capacity,â Hagerty added. âWe believe another 2,000 pounds of fuel could be accommodated [in the G650ER wing].â
