Honeywell Helps Give Global Express Makeover
ACC Columbia Jet Serivce worked with Honeywell on a signfiicant upgrade spanning the flight deck, cabin, and connectivity systems.

German-based ACC Columbia Jet Service (Booth X131) teamed up with Honeywell Aerospace (Booth Y139) on a Bombardier Global Express jet update that spanned cockpit, cabin, and connectivity systems. Providing safety and efficiency benefits, the new systems made the jet the equivalent of a new aircraft at 10 percent of the cost, Honeywell said.

Honeywell’s Primus Epic integrated avionics was fitted in the flight deck. In addition, the Global Express was upgraded with JetWave satellite hardware and was equipped for GoDirect services. Honeywell noted the modifications also boosted aircraft bluebook value.

“The cost of buying a new business aircraft continues to increase, so operators are looking toward modifying their jets with upgraded solutions as an investment,” added Nils Janssen, managing director at ACC Columbia Jet Service. “We’ve worked closely with Honeywell to upgrade jets to increase the value and install the most efficient solutions for our customers.”
