A record 175 people attended FastAir’s Second Annual King Air Operators & Owners Summit April 25 in Winnipeg, Canada, the company announced. Twenty-six exhibitors were at the event, including Textron Aviation, and exhibits included a Beechcraft King Air 250 on static, FastAir marketing and business development manager Dan Rutherford told AIN.
The one-day summit featured 18 seminars related to the venerable twin-turboprop, including a session from Pratt & Whitney Canada on tips and troubleshooting the PT6 and an ADS-B update from Nav Canada. Sessions on leadership and CRM were also popular with the operators and owners from across Canada who attended, Rutherford added. A plenary session was led by title sponsor Babcock Canada on trends in global aviation related to King Air operations.
Other sessions focused on tips for aircrews operating medevac flights, along with recruiting and retaining female talent. Planning for a third King Air summit is underway, Rutherford said, and is expected to be held in fall 2020.
