ABS Jets has received Stage II International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) registration at its Prague base and is the only holder of it in the Czech Republic, the company announced this week at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in San Antonio, Texas. ABS noted IS-BAH meets ICAO’s upcoming safety management system requirements.
“Last year our Prague handling achieved two significant milestones: 10 years on the market and 20,000 rotations handled,” said Jan Kralik, ABS chief operating officer and accountable manager. “Along with achieving IS-BAH Stage II, we are re-affirming our efforts to deliver safety excellence and top-quality services.”
During the IS-BAH audit, ABS achieved compliance with emergency and contingency planning, airside operations, ground support equipment, and training.
ABS ground handling operates from the VIP terminal at Prague airport, where it owns two hangars and the VIP crew lounge. Its ground handling services there include refueling and aircraft de-icing. It also operates a base in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. In addition to ground handling, the company’s services encompass large and ultra-long-haul jet operations, aircraft management, flight planning, and jet charter and brokerage travel management.
