NBAA Awards S&D Training Scholarships to 12 People
The scholarships are designed to offer hands-on training opportunities for current and aspiring schedulers and dispatchers.

NBAA selected 12 individuals for its 2019 Schedulers & Dispatchers Training Scholarships. The scholarships—presented this week at the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in San Antonio, Texas—are designed to promote career development of current and aspiring schedulers and dispatchers.


NBAA’s S&D Committee offers two scholarship programs to provide professional development. The Training Scholarship program was launched in 2004 to offer opportunities for hands-on training. A separate program offers cash grants. This year’s recipients of the training scholarships are Ross Bateman, Jacob Gardner, Taylor Hughes, Joy Kane, Daniel Kipp, Abby Laier, Gary Martin, Evelyn Merkle, Daramola Olufemi, Jessica Pace, Brandon Platt, and Annie Williams.


Sponsoring these scholarships are Academy College, Airline Dispatch Federation in conjunction with Flamingo Air Schools, Beyond and Above Corporate Flight Attendant Training, CornerStone Strategies, Corporate Aviation Solutions, FlightSafety International, Jeppesen, King Schools, NBAA Air Traffic Services, ServiceElements International, and Universal Weather and Aviation.
