SEA Prime Touts New Milan FBO at S&D
Taking cues from its stylish older sibling at Milan's Linate Airport, the Italian FBO operator will soon debut its new facility at Milan Malpensa.
At NBAA's Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference in San Antonio, Texas, this week, Italian FBO operator SEA Prime is displaying the first renderings of the interior of its new polygon-shaped FBO terminal, which will make its debut in June at Milan's Malpensa Airport.

Italian FBO operator SEA Prime, which manages the business and general aviation infrastructure at Milan Linate and Malpensa Airports, has selected this week's NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference as the venue to unveil renderings of the new lounges at its Milano Malpensa Prime FBO that is set to open in June.

The company established its business aviation presence at Malpensa in 2017 when it completed renovation on a 53,000-sq-ft former commercial hangar, and in October it broke ground on the airport’s first FBO. According to SEA Prime general manager Chiara Dorigotti, Milan Malpensa Prime will be a 15,000-sq-ft facility located between the airport’s terminals. Currently, private aviation passengers have to be processed through Terminal 2. Overall, the $4.65 million project will include a modern terminal, new ramp, and car park.

“The opening of the new Milano Malpensa Prime terminal is a great opportunity, not only for our business but also for the entire territory where it is located,” said Dorigotti. “Together with Milano Linate Prime, at just seven kilometers from the city center, it will provide a second access route to the heart of Northern Italy and Europe with premium services offered directly or with our partners.”

SEA Prime noted a good year in 2018 with a 2.5 percent increase in traffic growth and a total of 26,000 aircraft movements between the two airports.
