West Star Aviation Celebrates Chattanooga Expansion
The MRO provider has added more than 100,000 sq ft of space, including a state-of-the-art paint shop to its Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport location.
A Falcon 2000 is the first aircraft to undergo maintenance in the newly-enlarged West Star Aviation MRO facility at Tennessee's Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport/Lovell Field.

West Star Aviation held an open house this month at its Chattanooga, Tennessee location to celebrate the completion of its major expansion. The additions include a 65,000-sq-ft maintenance facility with 40,000 sq ft of hangar space and the remainder office and support, and a 45,000-sq-ft paint facility, which can accommodate business jets up to an Embraer Lineage 1000.

The company has already accepted its first project in the new facility, a Falcon 2000, which will receive a 3C inspection, service bulletins, an avionics installation, and a full paint job.

“We are pleased to have our first customer in service at the new expansion to our Chattanooga facility,” said Steve Goede, the location’s general manager. “This completed expansion provides our team the capacity to ensure we are working efficiently and meeting deadlines to get our customers back in the air as quickly as possible.”

With the addition, the facility now occupies more than 175,000 sq ft of space at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport/Lovell Field. West Star has thus far invested more than $20 million at the location.
