Aviation real estate company APP Properties has acquired $15 million worth of additional hangar space at two of the U.S. airports served by its IS-BAH-registered APP Jet Center FBOs. At its facility at Washington, D.C.-area, Manassas Regional Airport, the Connecticut-based company added 65,000 sq ft of tenant/community hangar space, bringing it to 275,000 sq ft of aircraft storage.
Across the country at Hayward Executive Airport outside San Francisco, APP purchased three hangars, which are currently occupied by an aircraft charter/management company, for a total of 35,000 sq ft of space. That takes it to 130,000 sq ft of space at the California airport.
At its three FBO locations, including Florida’s Treasure Coast International Airport combined, as well as another 65,000 sq ft of hangars at Denver Centennial Airport, the company’s portfolio now has 750,000 sq ft of aircraft storage space.
“We continue to expand our hangar portfolio both at airports where we serve as an FBO and at other locations where we believe demand for hangar space is strong,” noted company CEO Thom Harrow. “As a result of this expansion, we can provide our based and transient customers with the best service on the fuel and real estate sides of the business.”
