UTC’s Goodrich De-icers Selected for Cessna SkyCourier
UTC de-icers were selected for the Cessna SkyCourier and are also currently used on the Cessna Denali.

Textron has selected UTC Aerospace Systems (Booth 633) to provide Goodrich de-icers and support for the Cessna SkyCourier. The company had also previously been selected by Textron to provide the de-icers for the Cessna Denali. The pneumatic de-icers feature Goodrich Estane surface material that provides enhanced resistance to ozone, cold cracking, UV, and aircraft fluids.

“With solutions on more than 200 models of general, business, and regional aircraft, UTC Aerospace Systems is the industry leader in de-icing,” said Mark Skarohlid, vice president of business development for sensors and integrated systems for UTC. “We’re pleased to have been chosen by Textron Aviation to support the Cessna SkyCourier platform, and we look forward to growing our longstanding relationship with them in the years to come.”

Aircraft installation of the Goodrich de-icers, an aircraft can be operated immediately as a result of the Goodrich FASTboot adhesive. According to UTC, typical installation processes of other de-icers can require a 48-hour dry time. The company said the de-icers, coupled with the fast-dry time, helps owners to reduce their cost of aircraft ownership and installation time.
