FlightSafety Adds Specialty and Maintenance Courses
FlightSafety has added various specialty, enrichment, and maintenance courses to its program offerings.

FlightSafety International (Booth 2638) is increasing its portfolio of maintenance department manager and specialty training options. The courses will be conducted in partnership with the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and available at the campus or at a customer’s on-site location.

Covering everything from human factors to accident/incidence response preparedness, the series of courses will be considered as electives for the FlightSafety master technician management program. “We are pleased to now offer our customers a new series of human factors, safety management, and accident investigation courses through the University of Southern California,” said Steve Gross, senior vice president of commercial for FlightSafety International. All included courses can be taken under a FlightSafety event-based agreement.

“Our instructors are skilled educators with extensive industry experience,” said Thomas Anthony, director of the aviation safety and security program at USC. “Because FlightSafety International and USC are both leaders in their respective aviation roles, we look forward to the dynamic synergy that will come from this partnership.”

Additionally, FlightSafety is introducing an FAA approved international procedures initial training course in January. The company will also begin offering updated initial and recurrent human factors-CRM courses at the beginning of next year. Adaptive and flexible recurrent training options are expected to become available in 2019 to allow for less time dedicated to areas in which participants are already proficient.
