Inaugural Latvian Bizav Conference Deemed a Success
Held in the resort town of Jurmala, the event attracted business avation professionals from 13 countries.
The Jurmala Business Aviation Forum, the first of what its organizers expect will become an annual event, was held from August 16-18, in the resort town of Jurmala, Latvia. The inaugural event attracted attendees from 13 countries to hear presentations on industry issues affecting the region, and to network with other business aviation professionals. David Colindres, president of the San Marino aircraft registry was one of the speakers during the event.

The first Jurmala Business Aviation Forum, held last week at the resort city in Latvia, was a success, according to its organizers. It attracted 70 industry professionals from 13 countries—Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, UK, France, Malta, San Marino, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, and Sweden—to the Semarh Hotel Lielupe.


Event sponsors included Latvia-based aviation services provider Flight Consulting Group, which operates FBO Riga at Riga International Airport; Satcom Direct; the San Marino Aircraft Registry; and the Light House Jurmala restaurant, which hosted the conference’s gala dinner. The forum focused on business aviation topics in Europe and the CIS. Among the speakers were Stanley Bugeja, managing director of DC Aviation; Charlotte Pederson, CEO of Luxaviation Helicopters; and Sergey Ryhzov, commercial director of Russian FBO operator A-Group.


“We have put a lot of effort and our soul to organize the forum at the highest level,” said Sergey Starkov, Flight Consulting’s managing director. “We will continue the tradition and look forward to welcoming everyone in Jurmala the next summer.”
