Avinode Sees Jump in Searches via Digital Platforms
Only one in ten of Avinode members use its external application programming interfaces (APIs)., but nearly 50 percent of recent searches involved APIs.

Aviation charter marketplace Avinode is seeing a 47 percent jump in searches for brokers and operators through its external application programming interfaces (APIs). Avinode, which designs customized APIs to meet the requirements of its members’ business, said only one in ten of its members uses these business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) platforms. Even so, searches made through these platforms accounted for nearly 50 percent of its total traffic in June and July. “This is demonstrable evidence of how these products support, and help to grow, members’ businesses,” the company said.

“The business aviation market is being driven by technology,” added Avinode chief technology officer Noel Trout. “With a digital backbone, our members can give their customers what they want. Avinode’s B2B2C products are ideal for members who want to take control of their business.” The platforms offer comprehensive flight search capabilities, providing access to real-time data on aircraft availability, empty legs, and requests.

Avinode also offers a range of “off-the-shelf” web and mobile apps that incorporate Avinode search capabilities. “By providing cutting-edge technology solutions for the business air charter industry, both built from scratch and off-the-shelf, we can help brokers and operators of any size evolve their business and take that crucial step towards total digital integration,” Trout said.
