Air Charter Service Reports Midyear Revenue Growth
Air Charter Service reported revenue growth in its commercial and private jet divisions.

UK-based Air Charter Service saw revenues increase by 23 percent—from $253 million to $312 million—in the first half, it announced today. The private jet division represents the largest segment of its business and marked a 32 percent increase in revenues during the first six months. Its commercial jet division also recorded a 25 percent revenue increase.

“We have had a stunning first six months of the financial year, with record numbers across the board. Especially when you take into consideration that last year’s figures were beyond our most optimistic projections and they were boosted by a number of one-off events,” said Air Charter Service CEO Justin Bowman.

The company’s involvement in the FIFA World Cup contributed to the commercial jet division figures with more than 300 contracts signed. “We flew everything from team kits to tens of thousands of football fans, plus many of the teams themselves. Our Russian offices played a huge part in enabling us to win so much business over June and July,” said Bowman.

While cargo contracts increased by 21 percent at the company, demand for smaller aircraft yielded only 15 percent revenue growth. The company has opened offices in Manhattan and San Francisco, along with an onboard courier operation in Frankfurt, and expects to soon open additional locations.
