Elliott Aviation Adds To Garmin Retrofit Tally
The Illinois company, the industry leader in Garmin flight deck retrofits, is currently offering a special on G5000 upgrades for the Citation Excel and XLS

Illinois-based MRO provider Elliott Aviation has sold its fifth Garmin G5000 retrofit package for the Cessna Citation Excel/XLS. For the first 10 operators to install the Excel/XLS cockpit upgrade, Elliott is offering special early incentive savings in addition to any promotions offered by Garmin. The company has completed 15 retrofits of the G5000, including the first ever installed on a Hawker 400XP. It has also performed more than 300 G1000 and G1000NXi installations in King Airs— more than all other Garmin dealers combined, it said.

“We are proud of our long history of being the leading retrofitter of Garmin fully integrated flight decks,” said Conrad Theisen, Elliott’s director of avionics sales. “For more than a decade, Garmin has been one of our closest partners, which has allowed us to lead the industry in Garmin G5000, G1000, and G1000NXi installations, and we look forward to installing their G5000 system in Citation Excel and XLS airframes.”

The G5000 retrofit for the Excel/XLS is a complete replacement of the entire avionics suite, including a new Garmin autopilot system. According to Elliott, the upgrade provides operators lower cost of ownership, weight savings, integrated WAAS with LPV approach capability, dual-channel digital flight control system, and an integrated engine indication and crew alerting system, as well as optional features such as synthetic vision, turbulence detection, underspeed protection, and lightning- and hail-prediction capabilities.
