SGS Adds IS-BAO Audits to Its Line-up
The global aviation safety company now has IS-BAO auditors based in the U.S. and Canada.

Safety testing and verification company SGS has expanded its North American product offerings with the addition of IS-BAO auditing capability. The company, which has more than 95,000 employees globally, provides services such as basic aviation risk standard (BARS) audits, helipad inspections, general aviation safety audits, and aerodrome inspections.

With accredited auditors currently based in the U.S. and Canada, it can now work with Part 91 and Part 135 operators looking to achieve Stage 1, 2, or 3 registration under the International Business Aviation Council’s (IBAC) International Standard for Business Aviation Operators, which was launched in 2002.

“We are excited to expand our aviation safety portfolio within North America,” said regional manager Nelson Bill. “With a strong focus on safety management system development, the IS-BAO standard is a perfect extension of our expertise and safety focused offerings.”
