Argus Pros Hosting BARS Auditor Course
The course provides a working knowledge of the Bars program and demonstrates the practices and principals that underpin it.

Argus Pros is hosting a Flight Safety Foundation Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) Auditor Accreditation Course in Denver from March 19 to 21. Attendees seeking accreditation are required to have previous knowledge of and experience in aviation audits, the company said. The course provides a working knowledge of the BARS program and demonstrates the practices and principles that underpin it.

“The BARS audit is an audit program that’s recognized throughout the world for its ability to help operators manage aviation risk, particularly within remote and challenging environments,” said Patrick O’Flaherty, Argus Pros’ director of audit programs for business aviation. Argus Pros, he added, is just one of five companies approved to conduct BARS audits.

Objectives of the auditor accreditation course include providing an understanding of the BARS standard and implementation guidelines, as well as of the auditing methodology; gaining insight into the audit checklists used during BARS audits; understanding executive summary and report writing requirements; and becoming familiar with BARSoft, the software program used to record audit activities.
