CAE has purchased a 45-percent share of aviation training solutions and courseware provider Pelesys. Through this partnership, CAE plans to strengthen its courseware offerings.

“CAE is a long-standing customer of Pelesys, and this investment is a natural evolution of our relationship,” said CAE group president for civil aviation training solutions Nick Leontidis. “By teaming up, we will be able to provide our civil aviation customers with advanced training materials for a holistic training solutions experience."

The Pelesys Training Management and Deployment System (TMDS) includes courseware deployment, training management, qualification management, and electronic training records solutions. While it also offers several airliner type courses, Pelesys provides more than 30 special operations courses that would benefit business aircraft operators. These courses include advanced leadership, North Atlantic and Pacific oceanic operations, upset recovery training, polar operations and fatigue risk management.
