EBAA To Skip Air Ops Europe in 2018
Plans call for returning in 2019 with an expanded and improved event, the association said.

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has decided to skip a year for its still nascent Air Ops Europe and bring back an “expanded and improved” event in fall 2019, the association announced today.

EBAA CEO Brandon Mitchener had told AIN that expanding Air Ops Europe has been part of EBAA’s strategic plan. The move to skip this year, with an eye on returning with a larger event, was based on feedback from past and potential participants, Mitchener said in a note announcing the decision. “We welcome your continued feedback and support on how to make this the best possible event for the men and women who buy and deliver flight operations and services in Europe,” he added.

The association launched Air Ops Europe in September 2016, providing a venue for business aviation service providers to connect with customers and focus on specific issues. The first edition drew 30 exhibitors. The 2017 event followed with a 30 percent jump in exhibitors and twice as many attendees, the association reported.
