Textron Aviation is continuing to expand the international base for its Cessna Citation Latitude with an order from AerolĂneas Ejecutivas (ALE) for three of the midsize business jets. ALE will place the aircraft in its MexJet fractional ownership division. The aircraft will be delivered through the first three quarters of this year and will be based in Toluca and Monterrey, Mexico. Founded in 1997, MexJet was the first such fractional operation in Mexico and operates a fleet of 30 light, midsize, and large-cabin business jets, along with helicopters.
âOur fractional clients are going to appreciate the performance of this aircraft, while traveling in what is the most comfortable, technologically advanced cabin in its class,â said MexJet business director Alexis Javkin. He added that the operator will demonstrate the Latitude throughout Mexico and the region.
Celebrating its 50th year in business, ALE recently expanded a channel partnership with Textron Aviation to include sales and service for tthe OEMâs jet and turboprop portfolio. ALE previously had been an authorized sales representative for Textron Aviation special-mission aircraft and an authorized service facility for Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft.
âALE has a long relationship with Textron Aviationâs Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker brands, and weâre excited to add the Citation Latitude to its fleet,â said Lannie OâBannion, Textron Aviation's vice president of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Textron Aviation delivered the first Latitude to be registered in Mexico in 2016. Company president and CEO Scott Ernest noted last fall that the Latitude program continued to make inroads on the international front as it had surpassed 100 deliveries. The aircraft is now certified in 41 countries, Textron Aviation said.
