NBAA's Saucier To Retire
Saucier played an integral role in the establishment of nearly 20 regional groups.

Dean Saucier, NBAA’s regional representative for the Northeast for the past 17 years, is retiring at the end of the year. Saucier has been a voice for business aviation advocacy in “some of the most challenging areas,” NBAA said, covering an area running from Maine to Pennsylvania.

During his tenure, he fought to prevent a strict curfew at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport and played a role in the fight to keep Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts, open.  Saucier also helped in the effort to ensure access to East Hampton Airport on Long Island.

Saucier worked at the grassroots level, playing an integral role in the establishment of nearly 20 regional groups, including the Morristown (New Jersey) Aviation Association, the Long Island Business Aviation Association and the Connecticut Business Aviation Association. NBAA also credited him for his role in the formation of the Massachusetts Aviation Legislation Caucus.

“Dean has been a passionate business aviation champion and organizer, a supportive member resource and an inspiring leader,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “Throughout his remarkable career with NBAA, he has tirelessly worked on the industry’s behalf.” Saucier was recognized with the Massachusetts Aviation Hall of Fame Award in September and also is a recipient of the NBAA Silk Scarf Award.
