ACSS has signed a deal with Honeywell subsidiary BendixKing for the latter to be the exclusive distributor of the NXT-700 mode-S transponder for business jets and military aircraft, the companies announced November 13. The agreement offers aircraft operators a sales channel for purchasing and installing the ADS-B-compliant transponder.
“This collaboration plays to the strengths of both ACSS and BendixKing,” said ACSS president Terry Flaishans. “As a leader in ADS-B research and development, ACSS has been first to market with the NXT ADS-B transponder family. BendixKing is positioned to reach aircraft operators and help them equip their aircraft and meet the ADS-B compliance mandate set forth by the FAA and EASA.”
The NXT-700, a replacement for BendixKing’s legacy MST-67A mode-S transponder, is a form-fit plug-and-play component that provides the capabilities needed to meet ADS-B requirements. The NXT-700 mode-S transponder is labeled and sold under BendixKing model number MST-70B.
