JetSet Interiors (Booth N3429) of Dallas is introducing a new line of seats and its Rapid Finish Process for wood veneer at NBAA 2017. The new Signature Seating Series, for Bombardier Globals and Challengers, feature wider headrest and armrests, include a USB port and an iPad holder arm and can be built on the aircraft’s existing BE seat frames. Seating reupholstery, refurbishment, design and refurbishment has long been a specialty of JetSet, said president Ron Larabie, and the company is now developing seats for Gulfstream platforms.
The quick-drying Rapid Finish Process for wood veneers debuting here at the NBAA show cuts downtime 40 to 45 percent, saves about 10 percent in weight and satin finishes applied with the process are stronger and more scratch resistant than polyurethane finishes, according to Larabie.
Also on display is JetSet’s Whisper floor covering, a replacement for OEM-installed padding that reduces noise and vibration and protects against damage from water and other liquids.
Beyond the products it is showing, JetSet handles complete aircraft refurbishments, with in-house engineering and design services, and expertise in custom cabinetry, woodwork, softgoods and other interior specialties. Its service center is FAA Part 145, EASA and B/E Aerospace certified.
