Aviation Fabricators received Brazilian approval for installation of two- and three-place divans in the Beechjet 400 series. The divans, available with optional close-out panels, can add passenger capacity and give the cabin a modern appearance, and come with shoulder harnesses premounted, said G.R. Lowe, president and founder of the U.S. company. The installation requires no airframe modification besides removing existing seats and furnishings and setting the divan on existing seat tracks, and is already approved by the FAA, EASA and by Chinese authorities under a validation of supplemental type certificate.
