JSSI, Constant Aviation Team on ADS-B Webinar
ADS-B OUT avionics will be required by Jan. 1, 2020 for all aircraft flying in U.S. airspace.

Maintenance program provider Jet Support Services (JSSI) and MRO Constant Aviation will hold a free ADS-B webinar on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. CDT. ADS-B OUT avionics will be required by Jan. 1, 2020 for all aircraft flying in U.S. airspace that currently requires a mode-C transponder; similar mandates are also looming in other countries.

Hosted by JSSI program development manager Don Ridge and Constant Aviation regional sales manager Jerry Sanders, “ADS-B: The Ins and Outs” will provide business aircraft owners and operators with information about what components need to be changed, ADS-B upgrade options and how much downtime is involved. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.

“There are a substantial number of aircraft that have not been scheduled for these avionics upgrades and this could threaten not only the airworthiness of the aircraft, but also have a major impact on its value if these operators don’t plan ahead now,” said Ridge. “We know many owners and operators still have questions about the ADS-B requirement, so we decided to team up with Constant Aviation to cohost this webinar. We will provide specific details about various options and the next steps that operators need to take to minimize residual value risks and ensure their aircraft is ready to fly on January 1, 2020.”
