Air BP has opened its latest fuel location at Redhill Aerodrome in the southeast of England, some five miles north of Gatwick Airport and 10 miles to the southwest of London Biggin Hill Airport. The airport is a popular helicopter base with a training school, sightseeing operations and aerial filming for broadcasters such as Sky and the BBC (by Arena Helicopters). It is also home to both a National Police Air Service base and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust’s Leonardo AW169 helicopters.
Air BP has installed a new jet A-1 and AL48 (icing inhibitor additive) fueler and new apron/taxiway and is now the sole fuel provider at the London-area airport.
Elena Melia, general manager Air BP Western European, said: “We are delighted to announce the news of our supply agreement at Redhill. Air BP is committed to serving the general aviation market both in the UK and abroad and Redhill represents our core audience.”
