The Air Law Firm is expanding its practice with the addition of two senior hires that reinforce the Mayfair, London-based firm’s expertise across the operator, aircraft manufacturing, asset management, and aviation insurance sectors. The additions of Rob Mellor as senior associate and Pam Chambers as consultant come as Air Law celebrates its first year in business with transactions valued at $1.6 billion within the private and corporate jet team alone.
Mellor joins the firm from Knights Professional Services, where he was a senior associate within the corporate commercial team. His work there included contract administration work for Rolls-Royce. He has nearly 20 years of aviation industry experience, previously working as an in-house attorney for Charles Taylor Adjusting and McLarens Aviation (formerly Airclaims).
Chambers built up extensive investigative experience during her 22 years with American Airlines, as well as having served as a police officer. While with American she was a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)-qualified safety specialist and a member of American’s emergency response team. She also had accumulated in-depth knowledge of the day-to-day flight operations at London Heathrow Airport.
