Hawthorne Global Aviation Services has expanded the footprint of its FBO network with its latest acquisition, JetSun Aviation Centre, the lone service provider at Iowa's Sioux Gateway Airport/Col. Bud Day Field. The location, which includes an FAA Part 145 repair station with extensive avionics capabilities, has more than 100,000 sq ft of hangar space, which can accommodate aircraft up to a Bombardier Global 6000. Its 10,000-sq-ft terminal features a large, executive reception area, eight-seat conference room, pilots' lounge with snooze room, on-site car rental, flight-planning area, crew car and Wi-Fi.
“The Sioux City FBO is a key addition to our growing FBO network, now with six FBOs located across the U.S. East Coast, Midwest and South,” said company president and CEO Bryon Burbage.
Hawthorne launched in 2010 and operates FBOs at New York’s Long Island MacArthur Airport; Cobb County International Airport in Atlanta; Chicago Executive Airport; Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Tuscaloosa Regional Airport in Alabama.
