Northeast Air recently completed a two-year expansion project on its Portland, Maine FBO. The project included work on the hangar area and the renovation of the lobby, pilots’ lounge, gym, showers, boardroom, crew restroom, snooze area, office space and more, bringing the Portland Jetport FBO to a total area of 5,000 sq ft.

The 50,000-sq-ft heated hangar is available to house transient aircraft overnight. As the hangar door is 120 feet wide, the space can fit aircraft such as the Gulfstream G650 and Bombardier Global Express. The facility also offers maintenance services—including avionics installation, troubleshooting and repair—for aircraft from Beechcraft's King Air turboprops to Cessna Citation jets. Additionally, Northeast Air is the only Pilatus-authorized PC-12 service center in Maine.

The company was founded in 1969 in now employs 75. The facility offers the full array of ground handling services, including aircraft fueling and deicing.
