Gama Aviation's Hong Kong-based joint venture Gama Aviation Hutchinson has launched a new partnership with local maintenance provider China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) to help expand service to business aircraft. CASL holds approvals to maintain multiple airliners, as well as Airbus and Boeing bizliners. With the support of Gama Aviation, which will act as its general sales agent, it intends to expand its capability to include Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer and Dassault business aircraft.
Headquartered at Hong Kong International Airport, CASL holds maintenance approvals from aviation authorities in Hong Kong, the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, South Korea, Bermuda and Mongolia. There are some 142 business aircraft based in Hong Kong and the airport there has up to around 10,000 business aviation movements each year.
Gama Aviation Hutchinson is a joint venture between the UK-based business aviation services group and Hong Kong-based conglomerate CK Hutchinson Group. Gama has business aircraft maintenance operations in the UK, U.S. and United Arab Emirates.
“We are delighted to partner with CASL on this exciting opportunity,” said Gama Aviation’s group chief executive Marwan Khalek. “This collaboration delivers a strong and long-term maintenance proposition at the strategically important aviation hub. As with those made earlier in the month, this announcement is another tangible example of our ability to create sustainable platforms for organic growth worldwide.”
