TBM 900 to Get G1000NXi; 2016 Delivery Stats
Turboprop singles will have updated avionics; while North America dominated the delivery schedule for last year.

Daher announced today that the 2017 TBM 900 will come with Garmin’s G1000NXi (next generation) upgraded avionics suite. Garmin rolled out the NXi this month with “significant performance enhancements” and “additional capabilities, such as two-way cockpit connectivity,” according to Nicolas Chabbert, senior v-p of Daher's airplane business unit.

The company's TBM 850, introduced in 2008, was equipped with the original G1000 suite, as was the TBM 900 introduced in 2014. The G1000NXi version of the TBM 900 is expected to be certified within a few months, according to the manufacturer. Daher continues to offer buyers a choice between the TBM 900 and the TBM 930, the latter of which is equipped with the touchscreen Garmin G3000 panel.

According to Daher, two-thirds of the 54 TBM 900/930s delivered last year were 930s with the G3000 system. Of the aircraft delivered last year, 41 went to customers in North America; four to the UK; two to France; and one each to Germany, Italy, Poland and Switzerland. Two TBMs went to Mexico and one more was delivered in Thailand.
