Surf Air Offers Flights to Lufthansa Frequent Fliers
Lufthansa Miles & More members can redeem miles for either round-trip flights or all-you-can-fly subscription in Surf Air's network.

Surf Air has struck an agreement to offer Lufthansa Miles & More members the option of redeeming their miles on either a round-trip or month-long, all-you-can-fly subscription to Surf Air’s network. Under the cooperative effort with the Lufthansa program, Miles & More members will be able to redeem miles through the end of March 2017 for the Surf Air travel options.

A private round-trip flight would be offered for a minimum of 25,000 award miles, while the all-you-can-fly option starts at 50,000 award miles. The subscription would apply to Surf Air’s network in California and Las Vegas. Surf Air, which operates a fleet of PC-12NG turboprop singles, offers up to 90 flights daily at 12 airports in the region. Surf Air’s operations are in California, and the company arranges transportation between Hawthorne and Las Vegas McCarran International through the carrier Advanced Air.

“As a frequent flier and award program, we are always keen to offer new benefits and value propositions that make our program even more attractive and relevant for our members,” said Harald Deprosse, managing director of Miles & More. “Surf Air, with its innovative premium concept, fits perfectly in our portfolio.”

While Surf Air plans to launch operations next year in Europe, the initial Miles & More offer will not include those operations. But Simon Talling-Smith, CEO of Surf Air’s European operation, stressed the importance of Lufthansa to European travel and said future collaborations could be possible.
