AsBAA Celebrates Icons of Aviation in Asia
The award ceremony, which raised $50,000 for Orbis, saw VistaJet, ASG and Bombardier among the 13 award recipients of the night.

Earlier this month in Hong Kong, AsBAA (Asian Business Aviation Association) held its annual Icons of Aviation gala, raising $50,000 for the flying eye hospital Orbis. The event, attended by more than 300 people, opened with Star Wars-themed entertainment and featured a keynote speech from Orbisโ€™ Celia Yeung and a review of the year from AsBAA chairman Charlie Mularski.


Thirteen industry awards were also presented during the gala, including to VistaJet for the Best Charter Operator award; Asian Sky Group, Best Media award; and Bombardier Singapore Service Center, Best Maintenance Repair Organization award.


Other AsBAA winners included Gulfstream Aerospace, TAG Aviation Asia, Credit Suisse, Universal Weather and Aviation Trip Support, Asia Jet and Hong Kong Business Aviation Center. Madonna Fung received the Woman of the Year award and Chang Qiu Shend of BAA Management received the Mike Davis Lifetime Achievement award.
