TAG Completes First 120-Month Global Inspection
The achievement paves the way for the location to perform similar examinations on other airframes.
TAG Aviaition's first 120-month inspection on a Bombardier Global involved the removal of the aircraft's interior and a complete landing gear overhaul.

TAG Aviation has completed its first 120-month inspection on a Bombardier Global Express, the largest maintenance event performed on the aircraft thus far. This inspection requires a thorough airframe inspection, necessitating the removal of the interior.

The project, accomplished at the company’s maintenance facility at London-area Farnborough Airport, also included a full exterior strip and repaint, a major landing gear overhaul and a SwiftBroadband connectivity update with the Satcom Direct Router, made possible by the convenience of having access to the aircraft's empty interior. A cabin refurbishment on the aircraft was subsequenty conducted by the company’s Geneva location.

“Completion of this first 120-month inspection is a significant milestone for TAG Aviation Farnborough Maintenance Services and has enabled us to develop similar capabilities for future inspections of this scale on a variety of aircraft types,” noted Cyrille Pillet, vice president of maintenance operations for TAG Aviation Europe. “We are delighted to reinforce our competencies as a Bombardier center of excellence, which is part of the TAG Aviation network of repair stations across the EMEA region."
