Luxaviation Unveils New Belgium Hangar
The multi-million euro facility will provide a boost to the company's maintenance capabilities in the region.
Capable of sheltering up to 15 business aircraft, Luxaviation Belgium's new hangar at Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport also houses subsidiary Execujet's Belgium MRO shop. The hangar is now operational after two years of construction.

Luxaviation Belgium (formerly Abelag) inaugurated its new 43,000-sq-ft (4,000-sq-m) aircraft maintenance and storage hangar last week at Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport near Flanders. “Luxaviation sees the significant demand for business aviation in the region, and has invested in the development of Luxaviation Belgium by providing this new facility,” said company CEO HervĂ© Laitat.

Construction of the $4.23 million (€4 million) facility, located on the south side of the airport, took more than two years. It is the largest structure on the airfield and will be able to house up to 15 business aircraft, as well as provide a new home for Luxaviation Group subsidiary Execujet’s Belgian MRO facility.

“Larger aircraft can enter effortlessly, and we have a more efficient, optimized work space for the maintenance department,” added company sales director Dominiek Deman. “We will continue to offer exceptional standards of customer service, but at a wider and more expansive level, due to the increase in the number of aircraft we can accommodate."
