Able Aerospace Services is expanding its capabilities to provide around-the-clock aircraft on ground (AOG) support. The Mesa, Arizona-based MRO is establishing an “after hours” help desk that will support both aircraft and helicopter operators experiencing an AOG situation. Working in concert with Able’s customer service team, the desk is available Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The customer service team will continue to handle events during regular business hours.
“AOG is a stressful event that can cost customers time, money and business,” said Justin Texeira, head of the Able customer service team. “We take these hardships seriously and are here to make sure our customers never have to navigate their AOG situation alone.”
The extended service comes less than a year after Textron acquired the company to enhance its MRO capabilities and broaden is service offerings. Able provides component repairs, component exchanges and replacement parts, with capabilities covering more than 10,000 FAA-approved repairs and overhauls, NDT testing and in-house machining.
