NBAA/CAN Soiree Adds E-bidding to Auction Fundraiser
Items to be auctioned include two orchestra seats to see Hamilton as part of New York City broadway trip.

The NBAA/Corporate Angel Network (CAN) Soiree, to be held November 2 during the NBAA Convention in Orlando, Florida, has introduced electronic bidding by BidPal to the event's auction. NBAA raises money to benefit CAN, the charity that uses available seats on business aircraft flights to transport cancer victims to treatment, at the annual Soiree Reception and Silent Auction. It will feature both silent and live auctions, as well as entertainment and dancing with DJ PopRoXxX.

Adding electronic bidding expands the fundraiser beyond traditional means by allowing attendees to begin the bidding process before the event. Bidders can also set maximum bids, receive automatic updates and remotely review bidding progress. Two weeks of silent auction bidding will culminate during the event, while all live auctions will be held after dinner the night of the Soiree.

Items to be auctioned include two orchestra seats to see Hamilton as part of New York City broadway trip; a getaway package to the Aspen, Colorado 2017 Food & Wine Classic; a trip to Seattle for a one-of-a-kind experience with Boeing executives; NBA champion and Olympic gold medal winner Kyrie Irving autographed basketball; signed guitar by Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley of KISS; Gogo Biz ATG5000 system; four advanced training courses from FlightSafety; and 1,000 gallons of jet-A from TAC Air. Companies wishing to donate items can still do so, CAN noted.

β€œIt’s because of the support of the entire business aviation community and NBAA that we are able to help thousands of cancer patients each year,” said CAN executive director Gina Russo.
