StandardAero’s Houston MRO facility has completed its first Future Air Navigation System (FANS) controller pilot datalink communications (CPDLC) and ADS-B OUT installation on a Dassault Falcon 50EX equipped with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system. The work was completed in three weeks, in conjunction with a 4A+ airframe inspection that also included system upgrades for synthetic vision, Gogo Axxess Iridium and a display interface unit supporting FANS.
Completed last month, this was the first such system installation at StandardAero’s Houston facility. That facility has a long history of avionics installations, including WAAS/LPV; Gogo, ATG2000, 4000 and 5000 with UTC5000 and Thrane and Thrane internet systems; FMS upgrades; Falcon EASy II; and cabin entertainment system upgrades.
Earlier this year, StandardAero’s Houston MRO facility completed its first Rockwell Collins TTR-4100 TCAS 7.1 STC for the Falcon 50 and 900 series. StandardAero also provides operators of these trijets with OEM-authorized airframe inspections, completions and paint application, as well as full engine maintenance, repair and overhaul.
