CMD Flight Solutions has expanded its ADS-B OUT approved model list (AML) supplemental type certificate (STC) using FreeFlight Systems sensors paired with Rockwell Collins transponders to include Part 23 turbine aircraft. The STC covers installation of the FreeFlight 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor paired with the Rockwell Collins TDR94/94D transponder.
The AML STC covers more than 70 different makes and models of Part 23 turbine aircraft. The FreeFlight sensor integrates with other onboard systems via an Arinc 743 interface, and it is certified as an ADS-B position source for all ICAO jurisdictions, according to FreeFlight. The sensor is also approved as a position source for CPDLC, TAWS/FMS, RNP and other NextGen applications.
"We are proud to support the expansion of the AML STC with CMD Flight Solutions to include cost effective ADSÂ-B OUT solutions for more than 70 plus different makes and models of Part 23 turbine aircraft," said Pete Ring, FreeFlight Systems director of sales and marketing. "Both CMD Flight Solutions and FreeFlight Systems are focused on providing all of the benefits of ruleÂ-compliant ADSÂ-B operations available to all aircraft types, with minimal disruption to existing aircraft avionics.”
