With the addition of three new CNC machining centers this year, Bethany, Okla.-based GlobalParts Aero Structures has expanded its service offerings, adding more than 400 new component part numbers to its FAA-approved repair capabilities.
“With the addition of this all new equipment—a CNC Router, Brake and Shear—we can now produce a much wider array of products and do so with much tighter tolerances,” said Steve Farber, director of operations for manufacturing and tructures. “That means we’re able to expand our business from repairs to manufacturing. It has allowed us to develop expertise on engine inlets, establish an exchange capability and appropriate inventory levels to serve a growing customer base. We have even taken on some custom fabrication for supplemental type certificate [STC] projects.”
The company is also building a new clean room to expand its composite repair capabilities.
