The Denver Broncos weren’t the only winners in Sunday’s Super Bowl 50. FBOs from as far away as Las Vegas (LAS), reported the customary high numbers of business aircraft operations over the big weekend. Kaiser Air at Oakland International (OAK) had 250 airplanes on the ramp, reported Otto Wright, the facility's general manager. “It wasn’t as big a turnout as we expected, but it never is,” he told AIN. “The good news is we did not need any of our contingency plans.”

Signature Flight Support reported 433 aircraft operations between Friday and Monday its OAK facility, along with another 200 at San Francisco International (SFO) and 100 at its new San Jose facility.

APP Jet Center at Hayward Executive (HWD) tallied 70 jets on the tarmac, while Livermore Municipal (LVK) had 95. Monterey Jet Center reported 24 business and general aviation aircraft, according to general manager Nate Young.

Atlantic Aviation said it served 200 aircraft at San Jose International, and at LAS (which typically sees as much Super Bowl general aviation traffic as the game’s host city) it had 500 aircraft crowding its ramp over the weekend.
